It seems like Honda is on a renascence mission in India as the carmaker announced that it will launch five new SUVs by 2030. Those five SUVs will include an electric derivative of the Elevate SUV that has just been unveiled in India. Now this announcement seems a tad aggressive, as the Elevate is Honda’s first all-new product for the country in over seven years.
But it was about time that Honda stepped up and did something that’ll help regain the lost market share in recent times and it plans to do so with an onslaught of launches in the next seven years. Now, how successful these models will be is yet to be seen and even the nature of those offering is in a grey zone as well. But you can expect ICE and all-electric models to be introduced.

One of the upcoming vehicles could also be the successor to the WR-V, which is currently on sale in global markets, but India could get a slightly revised sub-4m iteration of it. Now these five upcoming vehicles have been confined to the SUV segment. So we reckon the actual number of offerings from the carmaker to be far more than just five in the next seven years.
As it stands, the Japanese marque has the City and City Hybrid compact sedan, Amaze sub-4m sedan and the yet-to-be-launched Elevate compact SUV making up its India portfolio. If you want comprehensive details on the latter, then head over to our detailed image gallery article.
