2025 Tata Altroz Facelift Review: Close To Perfection?

The Tata Altroz has always ticked the right boxes; it’s sharp-looking, decent enough to drive, and built like a tank. Since its debut, it’s been one of those rare hatchbacks that appeals equally to your head and your heart. The Altroz has made a name for itself as a premium hatchback that doesn’t try too hard, it just is that good.
Now, with the 2025 facelift launched at Rs 6.89 lakh (ex-showroom), Tata Motors hasn’t gone back to the drawing board, and frankly, it didn’t need to. Instead, they have taken what already worked, ironed out the wrinkles, and layered on more polish. The design is sharper, the cabin is more in tune with the times, and the overall experience has been dialled up a notch in just the right places. The result? A hatchback that feels more mature, more feature-rich, and more comfortable, without losing its original charm.
Here are five things we absolutely love about the updated Altroz:
The Altroz has always been a looker among hatchbacks. The 2025 update does not tamper with that winning formula, it refines it. Fresh LED DRLs, a new sleeker grille, and a streamlined bumper give an already robust stance a sharper, more mature look.

The design now has a "premium hatchback made sleeker" feel, making it look right at home in a wealthy suburb or outside your favourite cafe.
With this refresh, Tata's brought the Altroz's to match-up to the “new normal”. You have a bigger screen with improved resolution and more intuiative user interface, wireless charging of your phone, a 360-degree camera, and connected car tech.

Combined with sunroof, six airbags, cruise control, and a voice assistant, and you have got a hatch that goes toe-to-toe with pricier competition in terms of technology. It's a loaded deck, and Tata's playing all the right cards.
Commuting in traffic, taking that weekend highway run, or even just chilling in the parking lot, the seats in the Altroz Facelift are easily one of the highlights. They offer a sweet balance between softness and firmness, with contours that hug your sides just enough to make you feel snug without being intrusive.

The under-thigh support is especially impressive, thanks to thoughtful extensions that make long drives genuinely fatigue-free. Whether you’re in the driver’s seat or parked at the back with snacks, the comfort is consistent.

With this update, you now get a larger touchscreen with better resolution and fluent UI, a wireless phone charger, a 360-degree camera, and connected car tech that actually works well.

Add in a sunroof, six airbags, cruise control, and a voice assistant, and you have got a hatch that competes toe-to-toe with more expensive rivals in sheer gadgetry. It's a loaded deck, and Tata's dealing all the right cards.
One of the strengths of the Altroz is its mature dynamics. That has been retained and further honed. Suspension tune is spot on. Speed breakers and potholes are soaked up with ease like, but stick it in a corner and it holds up the corners well.

Barely any body roll, decently tuned steering, that gives you good confidence behind the wheel. Cutting through the ghats or getting over a broken patch of road, the Altroz takes it while maintaining its composure.
The 2025 Tata Altroz Facelift is not trying to blow you away with some over-the-top transformation. It's trying to take a good car and make it a great car. With small design adjustments, a youthful-faced interior, more features, and good ride quality, this facelift does exactly what it is supposed to do, i.e. make the Altroz even more desirable without messing with its DNA. And for that, it gets a massive thumbs-up from us!
