7 Seats For Your Family

The Triber facelift is the most affordable 7-seater MPV in India, and comes with a 2+3+2 seater configuration. This makes it one of the most practical cars to buy under Rs 10 lakh, as most other cars in the price category are hatchbacks or micro SUVs that mostly provide seating for just 4 people. However, the Triber’s third row is ideal only for kids and pets, and even medium-sized adults might not feel very comfortable. 

More Stylish Now…

The facelifted Triber comes with some new design elements that enhance the overall look of the Triber. It is the first Renault car to get the new 2D Renault logo. It also gets revised LED tail lights and headlights, new stylised wheels and chunkier bumpers to add a sense of ruggedness. Even the grille is new, and comes with a nice gloss black finish that makes the fascia look premium. 

A More Premium Interior

Well, calling a Triber’s interior premium might not sound correct, but it is when you compare it with the pre-facelift model. It now comes with a beige and black colour scheme, which makes the cabin look and feel more upmarket. Faux wooden inserts further add to the premium quotient. Moreover, the dashboard layout has also been altered, and it now gets a floating 8-inch infotainment system, which is better to use than the one on the pre-facelift model. 

Dual glovebox layout adds to the practicality, and there is also storage space in the lower half of the centre console to keep your knick-knacks. The second row comes with recline and sliding functions, and you also get a one-touch tumble function, which makes ingress and egress easier.

The Triber facelift comes with new amenities such as cruise control, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, front parking sensors, and six standard airbags. 

Features that have been carried over from the pre-facelift model include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, keyless entry with push-button start, steering-mounted audio controls, and rear AC vents.

Safety kit includes ABS with EBD, ESC, 6 airbags as standard, rear parking camera with parking sensors, hill start assist, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

The good thing is that six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, 3-point seat belt for all passengers with seat belt reminder, tyre pressure monitoring system, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and hill start assist are offered right from the base variant. 

Attractive Pricing!

The Triber’s pricing has not increased significantly with the facelift, and it is still very attractively priced, ranging from around Rs 7.3 lakh to about Rs 10.5 lakh (on-road). Getting a 7-seater MPV with a decent list of equipment is great value-for-money when you look at the smaller cars that you get for the price. It is also significantly cheaper than the Maruti Ertiga, which is its closest competitor.

So the Triber provides more than enough car for the price it is offered at, and offers practicality like no other car under Rs 10 lakh. The only downside is that Renault has not updated its engine, and had the opportunity of plonking in the Kiger’s more potent turbo-petrol engine. That being said, the Triber is for those who simply want the third row for their kids or pets and occasionally for adults as well. It does not look boring now, and its updated interior also adds some bonus points in its favour.
