New Okinawa Electric Scooter Launch In March

Okinawa has announced that its latest offering in the electric scooter segment, the Okhi 90, will be launching on 24th March. Okinawa has been the second best-selling electric scooter manufacturer in the country with its low-speed e-scooters; however, with the Okhi 90, we believe the brand is all set to take it up a notch.

The iPraise+ manufacturer had announced earlier that it would be launching high-speed, long range electric two-wheelers, and the Okhi 90 is going to be the first in that portfolio. The upcoming e-scooter is expected to have a range of 160km, pushing it to the premium segment of electric two-wheelers. The scooter could also feature swappable batteries, considering that it is the trend of the hour.

The e-scooter is most likely to come equipped with a telescopic fork up front, dual shock absorbers at the rear. The braking duties are expected to be handled by discs on both ends.

In terms of features, considering that it will be in the premium segment, the e-scooter can be expected to flaunt LED headlight with DRLs, LED tail light along with fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity, and two ride modes: Eco and Power.

The Okinawa Okhi 90 is expected to be the biggest offering from the company yet and will compete with the premium electric scooters in the country like the Ola S1 Pro, Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak and more. Expect the Okhi 90 to launch at a price tag of Rs 1-1.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
