Similar to the four types of engine sounds you can enable on the Revolt RV400, Ola Electric intends to roll out a similar feature, as part of the upcoming MoveOS 3 OTA update slated to be launched this Diwali. The four test mules spotted featured a sci-fi-ish synthesised whizzing sound, something you’d associate with a UFO flying past in a Steven Spielberg movie.

Apart from the faux engine notes, Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal had tweeted that the upcoming MoveOS 3.0 update would get features like hill-hold, proximity unlock, ride moods, regenerative braking V2, hypercharging, voice assist, calling and key sharing.

A few of these features for the Ola S1 were promised earlier at the time of launch, back in August 2021. While a few features like navigation, music playback, Eco mode, cruise control and companion app were made available with the MoveOS 2.0, there were still some features that Ola hadn’t offered.

First off, the ‘Moods’ functionality that promised different layouts and sound tracks through which the user could toggle. Originally, the company had shown ‘Bolt’, ‘Care’, ‘Vintage’ and ‘Wonder’ moods. Additionally, we found a few glitches with MoveOS 2.0 while we tested it out, and hope that the upcoming software update will iron the issues out.

In addition to the new software, Ola Electric will also be launching an affordable variant of the Ola S1 this Diwali which will be priced under Rs 80,000, making it as affordable as the Honda Activa 6G. The company had also introduced a five-year warranty plan for its electric scooters.
