Ola Electric has launched the more affordable S1 e-scooter at Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom) in India on the 75th Independence Day. But, adding to that, Ola is also giving customers the option to opt for a five-year extended warranty, what does it include? We explain.
At present, the e-scooter gets three years or 40,000km (whichever comes first) warranty. The battery pack, on the other hand, gets a warranty of 3 years and unlimited km.
The five-year extended warranty protects the battery pack, electric motor and all other standard components of the S1 e-scooter for a five-year period from the time of purchase. This could be very useful and convenient to buyers of the S1 and S1 Pro should they encounter an issue with any part of the e-scooter, especially the battery pack.

People who have already bought the S1 Pro scooter need not fret, as Ola says they can opt for the extended warranty as an additional top-up on the Ola app or the official website. That said, Ola hasn’t disclosed the prices of this extended warranty yet.
The S1 Pro is Rs 40,000 more expensive than the S1, retailing for Rs 1,39,999 (ex-showroom). Despite being significantly affordable, the S1 packs almost the same amount of features along with an impressive range and performance. You can find out more about it here in our launch story.
