Tiago EV’s cabin has had quite the glow-up with main character energy!

2026 Tiago EV Facelift

A day after revealing the interior of the facelifted Tata Tiago, Tata Motors has now officially shown us the cabin of the updated Tata Tiago EV ahead of its launch on May 28.

The older Tiago EV always got the basics right. It was compact, easy to drive, affordable to run and genuinely practical for city life. But step inside, and it still felt a little too close to the regular Tiago it was based on. This new cabin finally changes that.

With a redesigned dashboard, floating screens, softer textures and more thoughtful features, the Tiago EV now feels like a proper Tata EV rather than just an electric hatchback conversion. Here’s everything that’s new:

2026 Tata Tiago EV Interior: The Dashboard Finally Looks Expensive

Tata has completely reworked the dashboard layout, and the difference is immediately noticeable.

The older cabin looked functional, but this new one actually feels designed. The dashboard now gets a clean horizontal layout stretching across the width of the cabin, while the layered textures and fabric finish on the upper section make it feel surprisingly premium for a hatchback in this price range.

The black-and-grey dual-tone theme continues, but the softer materials and cleaner surfaces now give the Tiago EV a far more mature vibe inside.

In fact, parts of this dashboard genuinely remind us of Tata’s newer EVs rather than an entry-level hatchback.

2026 Tata Tiago EV Interior: Bigger Screens, Cleaner Look

The biggest visual upgrade inside the cabin is easily the new floating digital instrument cluster.

Unlike the older integrated setup, the new display now sits separately behind the steering wheel, instantly making the cabin feel more modern. Tata has also retained EV-specific graphics with battery and regeneration readouts, while thankfully keeping the layout simple and easy to read.

The 10.25-inch floating infotainment touchscreen continues too, and still looks one of the better units in the segment.

2026 Tata Tiago EV Interior: Tata Didn’t Overcomplicate Things

Thankfully, Tata has avoided making the cabin unnecessarily gimmicky.

The Tiago EV continues with proper physical AC controls along with tactile buttons and rotary knobs, instead of hiding everything inside the touchscreen. And honestly, that deserves appreciation.

Because in real-world Indian driving conditions, physical controls simply work better. Especially in a city car that people will use every single day.

2026 Tata Tiago EV Interior: Cleaner Centre Console, Better Storage

The centre console has also been redesigned and now feels much cleaner and more organised than before.

The updated layout neatly integrates:

  • Wireless charging pad

  • USB Type-C charging ports

  • Additional storage areas

  • Floating-style centre console design

Interestingly, Tata appears to have integrated dual phone trays into the cabin, although one of them could simply work as a dedicated storage space instead of a second wireless charger.

Either way, it feels thoughtful rather than gimmicky.

2026 Tata Tiago EV Interior: Rear Passengers Finally Matter Too

The rear seat experience also gets meaningful upgrades this time around.

The facelifted Tiago EV now adds:

  • Rear AC vents

  • Rear charging ports

  • New dual-tone fabric upholstery

The lighter fabric seats also make the cabin feel airier than before, especially compared to the darker leatherette setup on the outgoing model.

Space at the rear continues to remain comfortable enough for two adults during everyday commutes, although the lack of a rear armrest still feels like a small miss.

2026 Tata Tiago EV Interior: Tiny Details That Make A Big Difference

The Tiago EV continues with Tata’s familiar two-spoke steering wheel, but now gets an illuminated offset Tata.ev logo in the centre, which immediately helps the cabin feel more EV-specific.

Other small changes also stand out:

  • Redesigned power window switches

  • Cleaner dashboard textures

  • Slimmer screen integration

  • Softer cabin materials

Yes, there is gloss black trim around the dashboard and centre console, and yes, it will probably attract fingerprints in five minutes flat. But visually, it still adds a premium touch to the cabin.

Overall, the Tiago EV’s interior now finally feels in sync with how modern the car looks on the outside.

2026 Tata Tiago EV Interior: Features

The facelifted Tiago EV now feels considerably more feature-loaded than before and continues Tata’s habit of offering premium features at relatively accessible prices.

Confirmed features include:

  • 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system

  • Free-standing digital instrument cluster

  • Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay

  • Wireless charging trays

  • Rear AC vents

  • USB Type-C charging ports

  • Push-button start

  • Automatic climate control

  • Cruise control

  • Automatic headlights and wipers

  • TPMS

  • Auto-folding ORVMs

However, the biggest talking point is the addition of a 360-degree camera system. The unveil also confirms its inclusion. A 360-degree camera on a small city EV just makes a lot of sense.

2026 Tata Tiago EV Interior: Expected Powertrain

While Tata has not officially revealed updated specifications yet, the Tiago EV is expected to continue with two battery pack options, possibly with efficiency improvements and slightly better usable range.

There is also a possibility that Tata could introduce improved charging speeds and better battery efficiency, similar to what we recently saw on the Tata Punch EV.

2026 Tata Tiago EV Interior: Launch Date, Rivals & Expected Price

The updated Tiago EV will officially launch on May 28 alongside the facelifted petrol-powered Tiago. Once launched, it will continue rivalling the MG Comet EV and the Citroen eC3.

Expected prices are likely to start from around Rs 8 lakh and could go up to around Rs 11.5 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the battery pack and features.

ZigSays…

What makes this update impressive is not just the extra tech or the bigger screens. It is the fact that the Tiago EV finally feels like it has its own identity now. Earlier, it felt like a practical EV. Now, it actually feels desirable too.

The softer materials, cleaner dashboard, rear AC vents and more thoughtful feature additions make the cabin feel far more complete than before. And importantly, Tata has not tried too hard to make it futuristic.

And honestly, this might quietly end up being one of the most important upgrades on the Tiago EV yet. What do you think about the 2026 Tiago EV’s interior? Let us know in the comments below, and stay tuned to ZigWheels for more such updates!
