December is usually a quiet month for the motorcycle industry with the festive buying rush quieting down. Here are the SIAM domestic sales figures of premium bike brands as 2025 signed off:

Kawasaki finished December 2025 firmly on top, posting 144 units across segments. From middle-weights like the Kawasaki Ninja 650, Kawasaki Z650, Kawasaki Versys 650, and Kawasaki Vulcan S – to evergreen inline fours like the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R, Kawasaki Z900, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX, Kawasaki Z1100, Kawasaki Versys 1100 – the Japanese brand’s strength lays in its sheer range.

Suzuki secured second place with 41 units, entirely driven (ridden?) by the Suzuki Hayabusa. The fact that a single model continues to pull these numbers year after year speaks volumes about the Busa’s status in India – thanks to Dhoom. It may no longer be the newest kid on the block, but when it comes to presence and recognition, nothing quite replaces it.

Triumph followed with 34 units, continuing its steady, understated run in the premium space. With contributions coming from modern classics, middleweight roadsters, screaming super-nakeds, and large-capacity ADV machines – the Brit’s appeal remains rooted in brand heritage.

Harley-Davidson, sold in India via Hero MotoCorp, closed December with 20 units. For buyers seeking torque, road presence, and unmistakable American character – Harley remains its own category. And just like a certain ‘Royal’ Indian (formerly British) brand based in Chennai, you buy into the lifestyle rather than the bike itself.

Piaggio Group (Aprilia), rounded out the month with 1 Aprilia RSV4 Factory being sold, representing an ultra-low-volume but highly exclusive superbike for a very specific buyer – what kids nowadays call an ‘iykyk’ (if you know, you know).
