While practicality is essential for a commuter bike, aesthetics matter too. The Yamaha FZ-S Fi V4 excels in the looks department with its muscular and robust design. Despite being a 150cc bike, it exudes the aura of a larger, more powerful machine. The 4.0 update introduces a sleek LED headlight, enhancing the bike's modern appeal. LED turn indicators further add to its stylish presence.

Though the Yamaha FZ-S Fi V4 doesn't promise spine-tingling excitement, it offers a smooth and refined riding experience. The 150cc engine may not break speed records, but it's frugal and ideal for relaxed city rides. The gearbox is remarkably smooth, with light clutch action and a responsive throttle. Navigating through dense traffic is a breeze, and even longer rides won't leave you fatigued.
Although it takes a long while to get to 90kmph, the vibrations at those speeds are not that significant, thanks to the refinement of the engine. Unfortunately, though, getting to triple digits is kind of difficult.

The Yamaha FZ-S Fi V4's nimble handling and lightweight feel defy its muscular appearance. It manoeuvres through traffic with ease and offers a comfortable ride, thanks to softer suspension tuning. Potholes and bumps are absorbed gracefully, even with a pillion rider. The wide and comfy seat, along with an upright riding posture and mid-set footpegs, ensures relaxed journeys.
The front disc brake performs well, but the rear brake's bite and progression could be improved. Notably, the front features ABS, while the rear incorporates ABS components, but not ABS itself. A future update might see the introduction of a dual-channel ABS system.

The 4.0 version of the FZ-S introduces traction control, a feature that may seem excessive for a 150cc bike.
