Weekly Wrapup Dec 2

The BS6 revolution as well as electrics gained momentum this week with several launches and spy shots. Yamaha finally entered the 125cc scooter segment and TVS is gearing up with its BS6-compliant bikes too. Here are the top five two-wheeler news of the week:

Yamaha launches Fascino 125 Fi, unveils BS6 MT-15, Ray ZR 125 Fi:

Yamaha made its debut in the 125cc segment with the launch of the new Fascino 125 Fi. The Japanese manufacturer has discontinued its 110cc scooters in the country and is replacing them with the 125cc models. This is likely because the upcoming BS6 emission are pushing the prices of 110cc scooters closer to that of 125cc scooters and Yamaha probably felt it might as well launch a BS6-compliant 125cc scooter for that kind of premium.

BS6 TVS Apache RR 310 spied:

The BS6-compliant iteration of TVS’ flagship motorcycle, the Apache RR 310 was spotted testing early this week. Shortly after, it was spotted again at the Madras Motor Race Track for a commercial shoot, possibly indicating its imminent launch. Apart from BS6 compliance, the motorcycle is set to become quite geek-friendly with a whole list of features!
