Speaking of the stickers, it also gets new decals on top of the headlamp and on the rear quarter panels.
From the front, the MotoGP edition is exactly the same as the other variants. However, the white/neon yellow decals jazz things up a bit.
The new Suzuki Gixxer SF MotoGP edition features a split seat setup just like the standard model. Compared to the previous motorcycle, the seat height on the new Gixxer SF is set 15mm higher at 795mm.
Instead of a one-piece unit, the new Gixxer SF gets clip-on handlebars. Pair these with rearset footpegs, and you get a sporty riding position at your disposal.
The all-digital instrument cluster is the same as seen on the other variants and displays information such as speed, fuel level, dual trip meters, odometer, clock, shift light and other tell-tale lights.
Suzuki has plonked an all-new 155cc air-cooled single-cylinder motor in the new Gixxer SF. This motor makes 14.1PS, which is 0.7PS less than the previous FI model. The torque, however, remains the same at 14Nm.
In terms of underpinnings, the new MotoGP edition features the same suspension setup and braking hardware as the standard variants.
And if you are thinking that this new MotoGP livery might’ve increased the sticker price, then you’d be wrong. The new MotoGP edition commands a premium of just Rs 735 over the standard variant, which retails at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
If the Gixxer SF MotoGP edition doesn’t cut it for you, then we have some news for you. Suzuki has also announced that it will be launching a special edition variant of the Gixxer SF 250 next month! A 250cc Suzuki Motorcycle with MotoGP livery? We like it!
