Suzuki Gixxer SF ABS Launching This Month

The Suzuki Gixxer SF ABS is all set to be launched as early as next week, with Suzuki dealerships already accepting bookings for this variant. The bike can be booked by paying Rs 10,000 (booking amount varies according to dealerships). Official sources state that the Gixxer SF ABS will be priced around 5-6 thousand more than the disc brake-equipped SF variant. Both the carburetted and FI variants will get the ABS option. The naked Gixxer does not get ABS for now but it might, at a later date.

The Gixxer-SF will come with single-channel ABS like the Pulsar RS 200. A single channel ABS has the ABS acting on just the front wheel.

Leaked images of the bike indicate a new 'SP’ variant in addition to the 'MotoGP' livery. While the MotoGP colours will come in both carburetted and Fi variants, the SP is exclusive to just the Fi version. The SP version gets cosmetic updates such as a three-tone paint job with an ‘SP’ logo on the front. The ABS version will also get an ABS sticker on the front fender. Apart from the addition of ABS, the bike remains mechanically unchanged. The bike gets a 154cc air-cooled motor with power rated at 14.8PS @ 8000rpm and 14Nm of torque @ 6000rpm. The bike weighs 140 kilos. Expect the weight to increase by 1-2 kilos due to the addition of the ABS unit.

The Gixxer SF retails for Rs 89,219 while the Gixxer SF FI is priced at Rs 93, 032 (both prices, ex-Delhi). We expect the Gixxer SF ABS to be priced around Rs 95,000 and the Gixxer SF FI to retail around Rs 99,000 (ex-Delhi)
