Senke, a China-based two-wheeler manufacturer, has launched the Senke SK400-K, pegged as a “smart motorcycle”, in its home country.

Interestingly, the design is quite contrary to its positioning, in fact, it’s a blatant Honda CB125R rip-off. The only differences between the two are in the overall proportions, displacement, and features.

The bike imitates Honda’s ‘Neo Sports Cafe' design language, right from the circular retro headlight and the chiselled fuel tank to the wheels and disc brake design. Most Chinese manufacturers manage to successfully plagiarise popular motorcycle designs since the copyright laws in China are somewhat lax.

Nonetheless, the Senke SK400 does have a few tricks up its sleeve. For starters, it features an in-built 2-mega pixel camera mounted above the headlamp, which allows users to record their daily ride. Then there’s the IoT app that enables access to all rider data along with navigation and positioning systems. Other notable aspects include a full-digital dash, a full LED headlight and tail light, a bash plate, and mounting points for panniers.

It’s powered by a 378cc parallel-twin engine sourced from CFMoto. The power figures of the motor haven’t been revealed but it should produce around the same as the 400NK: 40PS of power and 32Nm of peak torque. It gets a 6-speed transmission with a slipper clutch.

Everything is tied together by a trellis frame suspended on a USD fork and a monoshock. Braking is handled by a petal disc up front and a regular rotor at the rear. Its 17-inch tyres come wrapped in Timsun.

Li, General Manager of Senke, says the company's product portfolio will soon be available for the international market where it will go up against top Japanese and European rivals.
