Latest Updates on XR 300L

Price : Honda might launch the XR300L in India towards the end of this year. It is expected to be priced at around Rs 1.8 lakh (ex-showroom). Unofficial bookings for the bike have now begun at select BigWing dealerships for Rs 5,000.

Design: The XR300L features a minimalist dual-sport design with a compact headlight cowl, high-mounted front fender, spoke wheels, and a slim fuel tank. Unlike the Rally, it does not get a tall windscreen, hand guards, or rally-style fairing, resulting in a lighter and more purpose-built off-road appearance. It also gets a different colour scheme while retaining the same upright riding ergonomics.

Features: The XR300L comes with an LCD instrument console, switchable dual-channel ABS, and traction control. Unlike the Rally variant, it does not get Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity or a TFT display, keeping the feature set simpler and more focused on durability and ease of use.

Engine: The XR300L is powered by the same 293.5cc, air- and oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Shared with the CB300F, the engine produces 24.4PS and 25.6Nm, although Honda is expected to tune it for slightly better low-end torque to suit off-road riding.

Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The XR300L gets a long-travel telescopic fork and a linked rear monoshock. Brakes include discs at both ends with switchable dual-channel ABS.

Rivals: The Honda XR300L is a proper dual-sport bike, and its closest rival will be the Hero Xpulse 200 4V and the Kawasaki KLX 230. Another alternative with a proper liquid-cooled engine will be the Hero Xpulse 210. It will also compete against the upcoming Bajaj Adventure Bike, offering buyers an accessible dual-sport motorcycle with a strong off-road focus.
