[UPDATE: Revolt has launched the RV400 in India and here are the details. We've also ridden the motorcycle and you can check out our first ride review here.]
Revolt Motors is all set to launch its maiden motorcycle, the RV400, on August 7. Unveiled on June 18, the RV400 will become the country’s first electric motorcycle. The Gurugram-based electric startup has already commenced pre-orders in Delhi and Pune. One can either pre-book the bike through Revolt’s official website or via Amazon. The booking amount has been fixed at Rs 1,000 and the bike is available in two colours: Rebel Red and Cosmic Black. Expect deliveries to commence shortly after the launch. Revolt will reveal the full specifications of the motorcycle at the launch and we believe the bike could carry a price tag of around Rs 1 lakh.
The Revolt RV400 comes with swappable lithium-ion batteries and gets an ARAI-certified range of 156km. You can read more about the battery and charging methods here. The RV400 comes with a host of AI-enabled features and smartphone pairing capability as well. It also gets premium underpinnings in the form of an inverted fork, rear monoshock, an aluminium swingarm and disc brakes on both ends with CBS as standard.
After Delhi and Pune, Revolt will launch the motorcycle in cities like NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Ahmedabad and Chennai in the next three months. Along with the motorcycle, the startup is also likely to introduce a voice-command enabled helmet as an accessory. Stay tuned for more updates!
