The Turismo Veloce will be the first sports tourer motorcycle offering from MV Agusta for the Indian market

MV Agusta, which is sold by the Kinetic-owned Motoroyale brand here, has plans to expand its Indian portfolio. The Italian bikemaker will launch the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce in India by the first half of 2018. The Turismo Veloce is the first sports tourer to be offered by the iconic two-wheeler manufacturer and, in Giovanni Castliglioni’s opinion, amongst the bravest motorcycles made by MV Agusta. The sports tourer made its global debut at the 2013 EICMA motorcycle show in Italy. MV Agusta’s Indian portfolio consist of the F4, Brutale 1090, F3, and the soon to be launched Brutale 800, with the Turismo Veloce being the fifth offering for India.

The styling of the Turismo Veloce has been inspired from the MV Agusta F4 and F3. The iconic diamond-shaped headlight has been retained but now gets LED DRLs that look interesting. The bike features a large windscreen to protect the rider from wind blast at higher speeds and it can be adjusted by 60mm. Also, the quarter faring has been beautifully integrated into the chiselled fuel tank. The tank is also narrow for the rider to hold it easily with his thighs and has an impressive 22-litre capacity. The quadrangular-shaped triple exhaust mufflers and the single-sided swingarm with those multi-spoke wheels screams Italian exotica. The bike also features a 5-inch colour display which is Bluetooth compatible and features two USB sockets and two 12V power points.

The bike is powered by the same 798cc, three-cylinder motor as seen on the Brutale 800. The liquid-cooled engine delivers 110PS at 10,150rpm while peak torque of 80Nm arrives at 7,100rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and it gets bi-directional quick shifter. Talking about electronics, the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce is equipped with eight-level traction control system, ride-by-wire throttle control, and four rider modes. The frame is a tubular trellis unit which is suspended on Marzocchi USD forks up front and an adjustable monoshock unit at the rear. Braking is done by disc brakes on both ends with Bosch 9 Plus ABS system along with RLM (Rear wheel Lift-up Mitigation).
