The new Glanza is priced at Rs 6.99 Lakh (ex-showroom) onwards which is Rs 26,000 over the outgoing model.
Exterior
The Glanza facelift comes with a tastefully executed fascia which does remind of the Baleno but with a well-executed Toyota taste. The honeycomb mesh grille, unlike the Suzuki cousin, looks more flashy and carries a polarising design. The Toyota logo has also been moved to the bonnet.

The front end carries on the L-shaped LED DRLs and the projector LED headlamps from the outgoing model, which also still include the halogen indicators. What is also new is the rectangle-shaped fog lamps placed on the lower half of the revised front bumper.

Over to the side, the profile remains largely similar to the outgoing model, which is expected from this mid-life facelift. However, what is new is retained is the design for the 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, which have also been a strength of the Toyota models.

The rear end, meanwhile, is largely unchanged with the same set of LED tail lamps and a thich chrome bar.
The Glanza is available in seven colour options: Cafe White, Enticing Silver, Gaming Grey, Insta Blue, Sportin Red, Bluish Black, and Digital Teal Green.
Given the mean look of the new Glanza, we like the look of the Sportin Red colour which goes well with the piano black accents.
Interior
If you liked the old interior design, you would be relieved to find that not much has changed here.

The overall layout remains similar to what we have already seen before. You continue to get the same black and beige dashboard, which gives you a sense of airiness. The floating touchscreen display on the dashboard and the analogue dials for the driver remain the same. It also continues with its well-shaped seats, which can comfortably accommodate people of most shapes and sizes.

The rear seats are also reasonably comfortable for most small families with decent comfort. Rear seat passengers get AC vents, USB charging and headrests for all three passengers. However, the Glanza still misses out on a rear-seat centre armrest.
Features And Safety
The new Glanza gets an upgraded feature list, now including ventilated front seats, a wireless charger and a new Clarion 6-speaker sound system. Other highlights in this department include a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Android Auto and Android CarPlay, automatic climate control, connected car technology, a heads-up display, auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror (IRVM) and USB Type-A and Type-C fast charging.

The safety package sees a major boost in the form of a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and Level-2 ADAS. Meanwhile, other safety highlights include 6 airbags, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, a 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD, and auto headlamps.
Powertrain
One of the Glanza facelift’s highlights is the new 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that replaces the outgoing model’s 4-cylinder unit. You also get the option of a factory-fit CNG with this engine. Both engines are available with a 5-speed manual and AMT options. Powertrain details are as follows:

The new engine here is known to be better in city driving thanks to its low-end torque. And so, character-wise, the new engine now caters to people who look for fuel efficiency and calm city driving, unlike the outgoing engine, which was rev-happy and enthusiast-friendly.
Rivals
The new Glanza facelift goes against the Maruti Baleno, Tata Altroz, Punch, Citroën C3 X and the Hyundai i20.
ZigSays…
It is widely known that the Glanza and Baleno are essentially the same car with different badges. However, many prefer going for the Toyota brand thanks to the better warranty packages and the after sales service experience. The Glanza also comes with a more subdued design for ones who find the new Baleno’s look too much to take.
Moreover, the extended flexibility of the powertrain options, addition of key safety features and the variants in the facelift make it easier for people who are looking for something specific to their needs.
