Fan of high riding extreme bikes that can laugh at almost any terrain they ride on? Then the Yamaha T7 Tenere Concept is sure to impress you. The Japanese motorcycle giant has unveiled the extreme adventure bike concept at the ongoing 2016 EICMA and we are liking it!

The bike could be a fair replacement for the Yamaha XT660Z Tenere, which is on sale in the European markets and is quite popular as well. The bike is powered by a 660cc liquid-cooled motor, which is good for 47PS of power and 58Nm of torque.

The T7 Tenere, however, carries a bigger engine derived from the parallel-twin motor of the FZ-07, which is a 689cc unit. Though Yamaha is tightlipped regarding more details, we assume that the motor should carry a few more performances changes that might include stronger piston rings, reworked head, and so on, to suit its application.
The bike carries the standard look of an extreme adventure machine, with a tall front carbon fibre fairing and lean body. The front features quad LED lights, while the sides flaunt a sleek aluminium tank, slim long seat, engine bash plate and a stubby custom Akrapovic exhaust system. Moreover, to fit in with the rally credentials, the bike features a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear one and is wrapped with block-tread tyres.

According to Yamaha, the bike has been developed with inputs from the company’s official rally team riders and engineers in France, along with its R&D team from Italy and its GK design team in Netherlands.
