This new year is set to be exciting for Toyota fans, as the Japanese automaker has a strong lineup of five cars consisting of three Maruti-based rebadged models and two upgrades to their premium SUV nameplates. In fact, Toyota is also about to introduce their first-ever EV on our shores. While the brand hasn’t put out any official confirmations on the launches and reveal of the cars, we can be sure of seeing them within this year. So, without further ado, let's take a closer look at all the five upcoming models:
Expected Launch: May 2025
Expected Price: Rs 23 lakh (ex-showroom)

The Toyota Urban Cruiser was globally revealed some time ago, continuing the brand’s tradition, this will also be the rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, which is set to make its debut at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. The Urban Cruiser features minor tweaks in its design and interior compared to its donor vehicle, while still it is expected to share certain features and the powertrain with its rebadged sibling. It is also expected to offer two battery packs with a claimed range of around 550 km.
Expected Launch: August 2025
Expected Price: Rs 14 lakh

Toyota already offers a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, known as the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. With a three-row SUV version of the Grand Vitara now in the works, it’s anticipated that Toyota will introduce a rebadged counterpart as well. While no official details about either vehicle are available yet, they are expected to share many features.
In terms of engine options, the Toyota version will likely carry over the same units from the Grand Vitara. However, it is expected to feature subtle tweaks to establish its own identity.
Expected Launch: To Be Announced
Expected Price: Rs 1 crore (ex-showroom)

The Toyota Land Cruiser 250 was globally revealed last year and is expected to launch in India this year, likely under the name Land Cruiser Prado. This model is already on sale in several markets, including our Indus neighbours, which has left us urging for its arrival on our shores.
The India-spec Prado is expected to retain the design of its global counterpart and may feature the same 2.8-litre diesel engine as the Toyota Fortuner. Additionally, the European Land Cruiser 250 is confirmed to have a mild hybrid system, which could also be introduced in the Indian model.
Expected Launch: To Be Announced
Expected Price: Rs 37 lakh (ex-showroom)

The Toyota Fortuner, one of the brand’s most popular models, introduced a mild hybrid option in South Africa in 2024. With that, we expect a similar update to arrive in the Indian market in 2025. The Indian hybrid Fortuner is likely to adopt design hints from its South African counterpart. Additionally, it is expected to come equipped with advanced safety features such as adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist, offering a significant upgrade over the current Indian model..
Expected Launch: To Be Announced
Expected Price: Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom)

Amid the range of SUVs, the Toyota Etios sedan, which was discontinued in 2020, is likely to make a comeback. If that stands true, the Etios could be introduced as a rebadged model of the new Maruti Dzire, positioning it in the sub-4m sedan segment. It is expected to share its powertrain with the new Dzire and retain many of its features, including the sunroof. While no confirmation has been made regarding the timeline of its arrival, its launch is sure to spice up the sedan segment in India even further.
