Toyota Innova Hycross Petrol GX (O) Variant Launched: New Top-end Petrol Variant With New Features

Toyota India has launched a new GX (O) variant for the petrol Innova Hycross with added features for comfort and convenience. It is priced from Rs 20.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available in both 7- and 8-seater configurations. Bookings for the new variant are open and even deliveries are underway. Here’s what you need to know about the Innova Hycross’ new top-end petrol-only variant.

Features 

The new GX(O) variant gets additional features over the GX variant of the petrol Hycross. The features listed in the new variant include LED fog lamps, front and rear parking sensors, rear defogger, automatic climate control, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system (restricted to the 7-seater variant), wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and smart key with push-button start/stop. It also features a Chestnut and Black dual-tone interior, which is not available on the variants placed below the GX(O).

Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, rear and front parking sensors, electronic stability control, and hill start assist.

Engine 

In terms of the powertrain, you get the 2-litre four-cylinder petrol making 173 PS and 209 Nm paired with a CVT (automatic gearbox). The Hycross is also available in a strong-hybrid variant, which gives you a strong combination of performance and efficiency.

Price and Rivals 

The GX(O) variant is priced at Rs 20.99 lakh for the 8-seater and Rs 21.13 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 7-seater variant, while the one-below GX trim is priced from 19.77 lakh (ex-showroom). With this new variant, Toyota has made the petrol-only Innova Hycross more desirable, as people won’t have to stretch to the hybrid variants for more features and comforts.
