You Can’t Book The Toyota Innova Hycross Top-end ZX And ZX (O) Variants

• Innova Hycross top-end ZX and ZX (O) bookings halted once again.

Toyota India has halted bookings for the Innova Hycross’ top-end ZX and ZX (O) variants once again. This news comes after the Japanese marque reopened bookings in early April after it was paused for a year. The reason for reservations being stopped is yet to be known, and we’ll update this article once we get more details. 

If you had your eyes on the Hycross’ other variant options, you’ll be happy to know that reservations are still open for them. For reference, the Toyota Innova Hycross comes in seven broad trims: G, GX, GX (O), VX, VX (O), ZX, and ZX (O). The first three are offered with a petrol engine, while the remaining four can be had solely as a hybrid. 

Toyota putting the reservations for the top-end Hycross on hold means you can’t have the MPV with all the niceties. These include the 18-inch alloys, dual-zone climate control, Ottoman seats for the second row, a 9-speaker JBL sound system, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and most importantly, ADAS. 

That said, other variants still pack niceties such as the 7-inch digital driver’s display, 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay, single-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, tyre pressure monitoring system, six airbags, electronic stability control, electronic parking brake with auto hold, and front and rear parking sensors. 

You get two powertrain options with the Innova Hycross: a 173PS 2-litre petrol and a 184PS 2-litre strong-hybrid. Both the engines drive the front wheels via a CVT and an e-CVT, respectively. To know our impressions on the Toyota Innova Hycross, check out our in-depth first drive review. 

Prices for the Innova Hycross range from Rs 18.92 lakh to Rs 30.98 lakh (ex-showroom). And the top-end ZX and ZX (O) variants are priced at Rs 30.34 lakh and Rs 30.98 lakh, respectively. The Innova Hycross is a premium alternative to the Toyota Innova Crysta, Kia Carens, and Mahindra Marazzo.
