Skoda Kylaq

Skoda's Kylaq is a mini Kushaq in many ways, as it not only shares the powertrain but also the features and the platform. The Kylaq is for those who want driving thrills under Rs 15 lakh. Some folks even call it the spiritual successor of the VW Polo. The Kylaq starts at Rs 7.55 lakh and goes up to Rs 12.80 lakh (ex-showroom).

On paper, it is not as feature-loaded as some of its rivals, but it is well-equipped with a plethora of safety and convenience features. The top ones include a wireless phone charger, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a sunroof, powered and ventilated front seats, cruise control, a cooled glovebox, and ambient lighting. It looks bigger than SUVs in its segments, gets a decent list of features and Maruti’s excellent service network. The Brezza is priced between Rs 8.26 lakh and Rs 13.01 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Brezza comes loaded with features like a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a head-up display, a sunroof, a wireless phone charger and cruise control. Safety is taken care of by a 360-degree camera, TPMS, 6 airbags, ABS with EBD and ESC.

The Brezza also comes with the option of opting for a CNG kit. It offers the largest engine in the segment, but it is not the most powerful one in the segment, as most other carmakers offer turbo-powered units.

Kia Sonet

Kia’s entry-level SUV, the Sonet is an all-rounder in the subcompact SUV space. Priced from 7.3 lakh to Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom), the subcompact SUV remains a feature-rich option for smaller families.
