New Hyundai Venue Passes Bharat NCAP Tests With Flying Colours

We got the second-generation Hyundai Venue in November 2025 and is priced from Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India) onwards. Now, the sub-compact SUV’s Bharat NCAP crash test score has been revealed and it has achieved a 5-star rating in both adult occupant protection (AOP) and child occupant protection (COP). Bharat NCAP has stated that it conducted the tests on the base-spec HX 2 and top-spec HX 10 trims of the Hyundai SUV. Take a look at the detailed scorecard of the new Hyundai Venue:

2026 Hyundai Venue: Adult Occupant Protection (AOP)

Score: 31.15/32 points

In the frontal impact test conducted at 64 kmph, the second-gen Hyundai Venue offered ‘good’ protection to the driver's and passenger’s head and neck. The protection to the driver’s chest was deemed to be ‘adequate’ while that for the co-driver’s chest was rated as ‘good’. The sub-compact SUV showed ‘good’ protection to the driver's and passenger’s thighs and pelvis region. While the tibias of both the driver and co-driver got ‘adequate’ protection. The driver’s feet, however, received ‘adequate’ protection.

In the deformable barrier test, the new Venue got a score of 15.15 points out of 16, while in the side pole test, the SUV obtained a full 16 out of 16 rating. When crash tested from the side against a deformable barrier at 50 kmph, the new Hyundai Venue offered ‘good’ protection to all parts of the driver. In the side pole test, the result was the same as in the side impact test, with ‘good’ protection to all the body areas.

2026 Hyundai Venue: Child Occupant Protection (COP)

Score: 44.46/49 points

The score remains on the higher side in the COP category as well, with a total of 44.46 out of 49 points. It managed to score this result due to 23.46 out of 24 points in the Dynamic score category, with a full 12 out of 12 points in the CRS installation tests as well. In the vehicle assessment category, however, it got 9 out of 13 points.

2026 Hyundai Venue: Safety Features

Hyundai has loaded the new Venue with a bucketload of safety features that includes 6 airbags, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, a tyre pressure monitoring system and even Level 2 ADAS.

2026 Hyundai Venue: Price And Rivals

The 2026 Hyundai Venue is priced from Rs 8 lakh to Rs 15.69 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India). It takes on the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Nissan Magnite, Skoda Kylaq, and Maruti Brezza.
