Just two months after launch, Hyundai has given the second-generation Venue a new mid-variant called the HX 5 Plus. Based on the HX 5 variant, it adds a few more convenience and cosmetic features from the higher HX 6 variant. Here is all you need to know:

Hyundai has priced the Venue HX 5 Plus at Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom), marking a premium of Rs 85,000 over the HX 5 variant:

Hyundai Venue HX 5 Plus: What Is New?

Sitting between the HX5 and HX6 variants of the Venue lineup, the HX5 Plus adds some key equipment, over and above HX5 including:

• Roof rails

• Quad-beam LED headlamps

• Rear window sunshade

• Wireless smartphone charger

• Front armrest with storage

• Rear wiper and washer

• Auto up-down and anti-pinch for driver power window

Most of these features were earlier offered from the HX 6 variant. While these features may not make a major difference, they do improve the comfort and convenience factor for users. Besides these changes, the HX 5 Plus variant remains identical to the HX 5 variant it continues to be based on.

Under the hood, the HX 5 Plus variant of the Venue is offered only with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which comes paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Here are its detailed specifications:

Hyundai Venue: HX 4 Variant Gets New Feature
