Ola Electric has recently launched the S1 Z range of electric scooters in India. It comes with a minimalist and futuristic design, which makes it easily identifiable as an Ola electric scooter.
The Ola S1 Z has a hub-mounted electric motor that makes a peak power of 3kW. The electric scooter claims to accelerate from 0 to 40kmph in 4.7 seconds and has a top speed of 70kmph. The S1 Z is available in 2 variants, both feature an LCD instrument console. Below are the top 5 highlights of the S1 Z electric scooter:
Swappable Battery Pack
Both variants of the Ola S1 Z electric scooter come with a 1.5kWh swappable battery pack as standard which delivers a claimed range of 75km on a single charge. This move from Ola Electric aims to eliminate range anxiety from the rider’s mind, ensuring a smooth battery swap within a few minutes

Optional Battery Pack
In a move to further reduce range anxiety, Ola Electric is also offering an extra battery pack for the S1 Z customers as an optional accessory. The addition of the second battery pack increases the 75km claimed range of the electric scooter to almost double at 146km
Different Variants for Different Purposes
The Ola S1 Z comes in two different variants: standard S1 Z and S1 Z+. While both the variants share the same motor, battery and underpinnings, they come with different accessories making them usable for different purposes.

The standard S1 Z is a typical family scooter. It comes with a spacious single-piece seat for the rider and the pillion. Whereas, the Ola S1 Z+ is a commercial scooter. It only has a single seat for the rider and instead of the pillion seat, it has a rear luggage carrier. The S1 Z+ also has a phone mount for the rider, a luggage carrier rack at the front and large side steps on both sides, which can help carry even more stuff on the scooter.
Chunky Wheels on both variants
Both the standard S1 Z and the S1 Z+, come with steel wheels. The standard S1 Z has 12-inch wheels, whereas the S1 Z+ has even bigger 14-inch wheels, which should make them easier to ride over bad roads and handle better.

Bang on Pricing
The prices for the Ola S1 Z range start from Rs 59,999 for the standard variant and go up to Rs 64,999 for the S1 Z+ variant. Customers will have to buy the additional battery pack separately. Booking for both variants starts at Rs 499, and Ola promises to start deliveries in May 2025.
