Skoda’s flagship SUV gets a new avatar! 2025 new-generation Skoda Kodiaq has been launched in India at Rs 46.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The new version improves on the Kodiaq’s premium recipe and offers European sophistication in a segment which is dominated by the Japanese Toyota Fortuner.
Skoda is offering it in two variants, and here is its variant-wise pricing:

Sportline |
Selection L&K |

Rs 46.89 lakh |
Rs 48.69 lakh |
Without beating around the bush, let’s get to the details of the new Kodiaq:
The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq is a full-size 7-seater SUV which looks long and sleek, while retaining the silhouette of the outgoing model. The fascia features a butterfly grille which has been tweaked slightly, sleek LED headlights, and sportier looking bumpers. In the Sportline variant, you get black treatment, while in the Selection L&K trim you get chrome elements for a premium look.
The Kodiaq sits on 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels that sports different designs depending on the trim you choose. The rear features a connected LED tail light setup which gives the SUV a modern look. A shark fin antenna and roof-mounted spoiler adds a hint of sportiness to the design.
The Kodiaq always had the premium factor on its side, however, the European automaker has taken the sophistication to the next level in the new version. The cabin also looks more modern integrating large displays and physical controls in a balanced manner, as it should be. The dashboard is dominated by the 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is complemented by a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display.
Skoda has cleverly maximized the storage spaces inside the cabin, ensuring that the passengers don’t face any inconvenience. You get premium soft-touch materials on the dashboard and door panels, and the leatherette upholstery adds to the appeal.
The Sportline variant comes with an all-black interior theme, while the top-end Selection L&K variant features a black-and-tan cabin with a contrasting white headliner.
The Kodiaq takes care of your needs and requirements while also offering the feel-good features. The top features include a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, 13-speaker CANTON sound system, panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, and powered front-row seats with ventilation, heating, and massage functions.
The safety net comprises 9 airbags, ABS with EBD, hill start assist, hill descent control, a 360-degree camera system with front and rear parking sensors, and a park assist system.
ADAS features are nowadays being offered in cars that cost one-third of the Kodiaq, and the absence of that safety package feels like a miss here.
The new Kodiaq comes with the same engine which used to power the outgoing model, albeit in a higher power tune. It features a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 204 PS and 320 Nm. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission which sends power to all four wheels. The 2025 Kodiaq offers a claimed mileage of 14.86 kmpl.
The Kodiaq competes with the Jeep Meridian, Toyota Fortuner, and MG Gloster while being a larger alternative to the Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line and Hyundai Tucson.
