All-new Skoda Kodiaq Launch Tomorrow: Here’s Everything You Need To Know

Skoda is all set to introduce the new-generation Kodiaq in India tomorrow, on April 17. The new model will bring in a tweaked design, a more sophisticated cabin, and some new features over the outgoing model. It will be offered in two variants: Sportline and Selection Laurin & Klement. While the premium SUV is a compelling option with a well-rounded package, it is important to see tomorrow how Skoda prices the SUV.

Skoda Kodiaq: Design 

The new generation of the Skoda Kodiaq full-size SUV comes with a sleeker design but gets the same silhouette as the outgoing model. It features slim LED headlights, connected LED taillights, reworked bumpers and a slightly tweaked yet familiar butterfly grille up front. 

The Sportline has more blacked-out elements, while the Selection L&K brings the chrome treatment for a more upmarket look. The Kodiaq sports 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels that feature different designs depending on the trim you choose. 

Skoda Kodiaq: Interior 

The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq gets a sophisticated and modern cabin with the right blend of displays and physical controls. There are plenty of premium soft-touch materials on the dashboard and door panels, and it also features leatherette upholstery, which adds to the appeal. Furthermore, there are plenty of usable storage spaces for both front and rear passengers. 

The Sportline variant features an all-black interior theme, while the top-end Selection L&K variant sports a black-and-tan cabin with a contrasting white headliner. The highlight of the interior is that it is welcoming and feels upmarket throughout the cabin. 

Skoda Kodiaq: Features 

The 2025 Kodiaq packs plenty in the features department. It comes with a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, 13-speaker CANTON sound system, and powered front-row seats with ventilation, heating, and massage functions.

Passenger safety is taken care of by 9 airbags, ABS with EBD, hill start assist, hill descent control, a 360-degree camera system with front and rear parking sensors, and a park assist system.

Skoda Kodiaq: Powertrain

The 2025 Kodiaq is powered by a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 204 PS and 320 Nm. It is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and comes equipped with an all-wheel drive system. The 2025 Kodiaq offers a claimed mileage of 14.86 kmpl.

Skoda Kodiaq: Rivals

With local assembly coming into play, the Kodiaq is expected to be priced competitively. We expect it to be priced from Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). It will rival the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, and MG Gloster while being a larger alternative to the Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line and Hyundai Tucson.
