January will witness multiple new launches and reveals, right from a micro SUV to a luxury barge

Happy new year to you and your loved ones! While 2023 has come to an end, the onslaught of car launches knows no weather, no calendar. Consequently, January 2024 is going to be no different as the auto industry has numerous new launches and reveals in store for us. Without any further ado, here are all the expected launches and reveals for the first month of 2024:

Kia Sonet Facelift

The Kia Sonet facelift has been revealed in all its glory. However, a price announcement is still pending. That is expected to happen in January itself and brace up for a slight increment to the outgoing model’s prices, which started from Rs 7.79 lakh (ex-showroom).

The first ever facelift for the Sonet brings exterior styling cues, minor changes to the dashboard, new features, and additional safety tech. There are no significant changes in the powertrain options, and if you wanna know more about the Sonet facelift, head to our image gallery article.

Hyundai Creta Facelift

This one has been long overdue – the facelift for India’s hottest selling compact SUV - the Hyundai Creta. While a launch is still some time away, Hyundai could take the covers off the India-spec Creta facelift on January 16. This one will be slightly different from the one that broke covers in international markets, and you can expect styling revisions and new features to be added to the list. The flagship Mercedes SUV, the GLS, received a facelift early this year and is going to arrive on our shores on January 8. The facelift brings minute cosmetic revisions to the SUV’s intimidating demeanor and gets premium elements trickled down from the top-spec Maybach variants. Head to our reveal story of the GLS facelift to know more about the flagship Mercedes SUV.

Tata Punch EV

To build its electric portfolio even further, Tata could debut the Punch EV in January with a launch following soon after. Until now, we’ve only seen spy shots of the electric Micro SUV, which seems to take a page or two off the Nexon EV’s sketch book. You can also expect a Nexon EV-derived powertrain to be on offer, albeit in a detuned form.
