The rest of the Sonet’s variant lineup remains unchanged.
Kia has also taken this opportunity to add a new ‘Magma Red’ colour option to the Sonet. This new colour offers a brighter and more vibrant feel to the SUV compared to other darker shades in its palette.

The Magma Red hue will be offered in addition to existing colour options such as: Pewter Olive, Gravity Grey, Pearl White, Clear White, Sparkling Silver, Imperial Blue and Aurora Black Pearl. Notably, the Pearl White finish can also be had with an optional black roof for a sportier look.
The top-end X-Line and HTX+ variants can also be opted for with a Matte Graphite colour for a more distinct road presence.
Kia’s Sonet is one of the most popular subcompact SUVs in the market. It has a bold and classy design. Up front, it gets a prominent ‘tiger-nose’ grille with chrome surrounds, a silver skid plate and sleek headlamp clusters with LED DRLs. The side profile is accentuated with a curvy design, flared fenders and thick plastic cladding/ The rear-end takes a more minimalist stance with a connected LED taillamp cluster, chunky cladding and a silver skid plate forming most of the noticeable elements.
Inside, Sonet gets a dual-screen setup comprising a digital instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment screen. You can opt for the Sonet in multiple cabin themes based on the exterior colour chosen.

Key feature highlights of the Sonet include an electric sunroof, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charger, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, 4-way power-adjustable driver seat, air purifier and a 7-speaker BOSE sound system.
It also gets safety equipment like Level 1 ADAS, 6 airbags, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors, 360-degree camera and all-wheel disc brakes.

The Sonet competes in the busy subcompact SUV segment with rivals such as the Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza and Fronx, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite. Kia also has the Syros, which operates in the same segment, albeit with a different approach.
With the urban drives becoming more like crawls, buyers are clearly gravitating towards automatic transmissions. This is something that Kia has noticed, and now with proper automatic variants of the Sonet priced below the Rs 10 lakh threshold, it will certainly be back into the shortlist of many buyers prioritising affordability over fancier equipment levels.
