Hero MotoCorp recently launched the 2024 Xtreme 160R 2V in India, at Rs 1,11,111 (ex-showroom, Delhi). For 2024, the bike gets an extensive list of features, let’s see what it offers:
The Hero Xtreme 160R 2V is equipped with a fully digital instrument console that displays the speed, tachometer readings, odometer reading, fuel level, gear position, time and it also gets a drag race timer. The drag race timer has two modes: D1 and D2. The D1 mode tracks the bike's 0-60 kmph acceleration time, while the D2 mode measures its quarter-mile performance (0-402m). Additionally, it features a USB charger to charge your device while on the go, the brightness of the inverted LCD can be adjusted up to five levels and it provides smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth.
The Xtreme 160R 2V continues to be powered by the same 163cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 15.2PS and 14Nm as the previous iteration. The motor is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Its tubular diamond chassis is suspended on a telescopic fork on the front and a 7-step preload-adjustable rear monoshock. Braking duties are taken care of by a 276mm front disc with single-channel ABS and a 130mm drum at the rear. The bike has a kerb weight of 139.5kg, it has 167mm of ground clearance and a seat height of 790mm. It also has a 12-litre fuel tank and a long single seat.
The Xtreme 160R 2V is a sporty commuter bike in the 160cc segment and rivals the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V, Bajaj Pulsar N150 and the Yamaha FZ FI V3.
