With the IPL season coming to an end, all teams except for the ones fighting the final battle have started to head home. But two teams sponsored by Mahindra: Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore have stopped on their way to collaborate with the carmaker one last time this season. Let’s have a look at what these two teams are doing.
Three players of the fan-favourite RCB were with the Mahindra XUV400, but not doing anything extraordinary. Josh Hazelwood, Mahipal Lomror and Wanindu Hasaranga went out to take a stroll in three XUV400s.

But these were not normal-looking XUV400s, for their partnership with the team, Mahindra has customised these three units. These XUV400s come in a purple-orange hue, have RCB’s name and logo on the bonnet, and on the sides, you can see a “Play Bold” decal with the image of the team's entire lineup.
This is where the partnership gets interesting. For their collaboration with Rajasthan Royals, Mahindra organised a very tough test for the players to complete. Called the Reverse Gear, this test had two teams of two players each. Meet the two teams: Sanju Samson with Romi Bhinder vs Riyan Parag with KC Cariappa. One of the players had to drive a Mahindra Thar in reverse gear through a track and the other one had to guide him.

To know which team won, you have to watch the video, but before that, take a look at the Mahindra Thar. These units of the lifestyle SUV have been wrapped in pink skin that has some blue inserts. On the bonnet, there is a huge Rajasthan Royals logo, and on the doors, there is a big “Halla Bol” decal.
