Americans love their cruisers. The more radical looking, the better. And of course, no cruiser is complete without a big burly V-twin engine, is it? That said, Combat Motors is no ordinary bikemaker. Its futuristic, ‘Terminator’ style design philosophy makes the bikes from Orange County Choppers look like dial-up modems in a world of 5G internet, and now they’re back with another radical creation, called the Combat Bomber.
The Combat Bomber will be the top-shelf product you can buy from the Alabama-based bikemaker and will set you back by a staggering USD 1,25,000 (or roughly Rs 96 lakh!) Why? Let’s have a look at the specifications, shall we?
Much like its sibling – the P-51 Fighter – the Combat Bomber has been made from military-grade aluminum billets. And the bus does not stop there, as the monocoque frame has been machined from aluminium as well. That degree of craftsmanship alone would cost you an arm and a leg anywhere in the world, but this is America, so it’s both arms, a leg and your life savings.

The engine is a massive 2163cc, air-cooled, 56-degree V-twin that makes a punchy 121.66PS at 5100rpm and 196.5Nm at 4800rpm. That’s not a motorcycle, that’s an Earth mover. The top speed, however, is an acceptable 160mph (roughly 260kmph).
In the suspension department you get a double wishbone monoshock front suspension and a cantilever monoshock rear that’s fully adjustable.
Its 1587mm wheelbase and 254kg wet weight almost completes its cruiser credentials, but the 19-inch carbon front wheel and 17-inch carbon disc rear wheel with a thick 240/45 section tyre add the finishing touches. But it’s not all impractical, though, as it also features a 16-litre fuel tank. Goodness still exists in the world!
