Now let’s take a look at what all you get for the extra Rs 21,000.
The C3 Sport Edition gets a new ‘Garnet Red’ hue, which adds to the sporty quotient. The hatchback gets ‘C3 Sport’ decals on the front doors and dual-tone decals on the bonnet, roof, tailgate and lower portion of the doors. Overall, the exterior looks more in the face now, and will be preferred by those who like flashy styling. You get racer vibes if you opt for the special edition in the new red hue.
The interior now sports black and red leatherette seat upholstery with ‘Sport’ badging and black fabric interior mats with red ‘Citroen’ lettering. Seatbelt cushions add to the comfort and you also get ambient lighting that adds a sense of premiumness inside. Furthermore, you get sporty metal pedals which enhance the appeal.
At an additional cost of Rs 15,000, you can also purchase the optional dashcam and wireless phone charger. Dashcams have become crucial and should be installed in every car, so we recommend you opt for the additional optional package as well.
Other features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, auto AC, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a rear parking camera are offered with the C3.
The C3 can be had with either a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine, which makes 82 PS and 115 Nm, or a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol unit which churns out 110 PS and up to 205 Nm. The former can be had with a 5-speed manual only, while the latter can be opted for with either a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed AT. The C3 turbo is the quickest in its segment, with a 0-100 kmph sprint time of just 10 seconds.
The C3 is for those who want a different flavour in the hatchback segment, and are okay to pick something other than the usual Maruti and Hyundai hatchbacks. The C3 with the special edition becomes a more attractive option, especially for those who like cars that catch attention with their exterior decals.
Moreover, premium and sporty finishes inside add to the value quotient. The Sport Edition might not be the most logical purchase in the segment, but it definitely is for those who see the C3’s value and want a unique ownership experience. Would you pick it over rivals like the Maruti Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios? Let us know in the comments section.
