BREAKING: The Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z Gets Safer, More Powerful

The just launched 2025 Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z gets several updates to improve performance as well as handling.

The Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z is the most powerful Pulsar ever. With 40PS on tap, that too at a staggeringly low price tag, it grabbed enthusiasts’ attention like no other. However, it had a few chinks in its armour, and now it seems like they have been ironed out with the launch of the 2025 Pulsar NS400Z.

Priced at Rs 1,92,328 (ex-showroom Delhi), it is Rs 11,010 more than the 2024 model. What do you get for the premium? Well, a lot of things. The biggest update in our opinion is the grippier, radial Apollo Alpha H1 tyres (110-section front and 150-section rear) at both ends replacing the MRF RevZs. We hope this sorts out the front-end twitchiness that we felt in the previous-generation bike. Bajaj has also thrown in sintered front brake pads for good measure. Afterall, great power commands great braking performance, and these should do the job just fine.

If you thought 40PS was plenty enough, you’d be pleasantly surprised to know that Bajaj has eked out slightly more in the 2025 model. It now produces 43PS, up by 3PS. Bajaj has worked its magic by adding a revised valve train, reworked cam timings and intake duct. The radiator cowls have also been redesigned to ensure the heat flows away from the rider’s legs.

A big single also requires a stronger piston, so the Pune-based bikemaker has equipped the 2025 version with a forged piston claiming to offer “better thermal stability, reduced friction and improved durability”.

As a consequence, the 0-60kmph claimed acceleration time is now 2.7 seconds (0.5 seconds less), and 0 to 100kmph comes in at 6.4 seconds claimed - a whole 1.1 seconds down! Even the claimed top speed is up by 7kmph at 157kmph. For perspective, the KTM 390 Duke did 0-60kmph in 2.66 seconds, and 0-100kmph in 5.91 seconds. Not bad Bajaj, for making the Pulsar almost as quick as the Duke, that too for over Rs 1 lakh cheaper!

As if all these weren’t enough, Bajaj also threw in a bidirectional quickshifter co-developed with Bosch that allows for clutchless full-throttle upshifts.

The rest of the aspects of the motorcycle remain the same as before. Even with the extremely reasonable premium, the 2025 Pulsar NS400Z still offers incredible value for money as the price is still under Rs 2 lakh. And now with all the upgrades in all the right departments, the Pulsar NS400Z is very hard to ignore if you’re looking for a bike that offers the highest horsepower per paisa.
