The 2025 Honda Dio has been launched in India, starting at a price of Rs 74,930 (ex-showroom). As part of the 2025 update, Honda has given the scooter a bunch of new features. Here’s a detailed breakdown of everything that’s new.

What is new?

The first major update the 2025 Honda Dio has received is the new 4.2-inch TFT console, which shows a lot of info. This includes everything from speed, fuel level to mileage and distance-to-empty readouts as well.

Other changes include tweaks to the engine to make it OBD-2B compliant. Honda has been upgrading its commuter lineup, to meet these new standards. Other than this, the engine remains the same. The scooter is still powered by the same 109.51cc, air-cooled, single cylinder engine which produces 7.95PS and 9.03Nm.

What Remains Unchanged?

Other than the addition of the new console and the upgrades to its engine to meet OBD-2B standards, everything else remains unchanged. The scooter still features the same telescopic fork and monoshock. It rolls on a 12-inch front and 10-inch rear alloy wheels setup with 130mm drum brakes at both ends.

Overall, the updates are not that impressive and are a big let down. We were expecting Honda to make some substantial changes to the scooter, both in terms of design and features.

Sure, the Dio looks good but the design and styling has remained more or less the same since launch. The scooter could have benefited from a revamped design. Coming to the features, the new TFT console looks good and has a clean layout, but misses out on smartphone connectivity which would have made it feel a lot more premium.
