Tata Motors consistently keeps updating its products and also launches new models at a regular pace, so that the company is relevant and competitive in all the segments where it has its market share. Tata Motors started 2026 with the launch of the refreshed Punch and Punch EV, and looking at this rapid pace, a larger number of fresh updates and new models are expected in the following months.
Although this time, Tata looks to have realised that EVs are the future, and since more and more people are shifting towards electric cars, and even the premium ones, Tata seems to have now targeted the EV market as its main goal for 2026. Tata’s new batch of products for 2026 includes a facelift of a model that is one of the best-selling cars in India, EV iterations of two premium SUVs, and an all-new product positioned as an EV flagship.
Let's have a look at these new Tata models that will hit the roads soon:
Expected Price: Rs. 15 lakh to 25 lakh (ex-showroom)
Expected Launch: May
Tata launched the Sierra in India in 2025, making it one of the most anticipated launches in the country for a long time. The iconic name ‘Sierra’ finally made a comeback, and this time in an even more appealing manner. The Tata Sierra is equipped with all the modern tech and features that you would expect from a car of its price. Since then, the Sierra EV has been spotted testing multiple times. The carmaker had also teased it late last year, which could indicate a launch soon.

Speaking of the exterior design, it will carry forward many of the styling elements from its ICE counterpart, except for some EV-specific changes in the bumpers, grille, and alloy wheels. On the inside, there is very little change that is expected on the Sierra EV. It will probably continue to get a minimalistic dashboard with a triple-screen layout for infotainment and instrumentation, and features such as a panoramic sunroof, powered and ventilated seats, and all other features that are offered in the ICE Sierra.

As for the powertrain options, Tata has not yet revealed any technical details, but it is likely to feature multiple battery pack options and could deliver a claimed range of over 500 kms on a single charge, making it a capable all-electric alternative to the ICE version. The Sierra EV is likely to make its India debut later this year in May.
Expected Price: Rs. 22 lakh to 32 lakh (ex-showroom)
Expected Launch: October
Tata had launched the Harrier EV in 2025, and it was really loved by customers. The Harrier has constantly had admirers since it was first revealed in 2019, and with the convenience and performance of an EV, the SUV makes for a compelling package. Tata Motors has also been testing the Safari EV since 2024, and a launch for the same might just be around the corner.

The Safari EV will be based on the same platform as the Harrier EV and could be offered with multiple powertrain options, including the all-wheel drive setup, which could be offered on the higher variants. The dual-motor setup will likely help the Safari EV to attain triple-digit speeds within seconds and also offer terrain modes and off-road assistance. With rigorous testing underway, the Safari EV is expected to boast a maximum driving range of over 650 kms, which would be a game-changer.
The Safari EV will cater to an audience who need an extra third row of seats to carry their full family with the efficiency of an electric car. Tata Motors is expected to reveal the Safari EV by October this year, with the official launch being slated for a few weeks after that.
Expected Price: Rs. 7.5 lakh to 14.5 lakh (ex-showroom)
Expected Launch: September
It is no secret that the Tata Nexon is one of the most loved sub-4m SUVs in the country. But it has been quite some time since the Nexon got its major facelift. Given this facet, Tata Motors might soon be preparing to bring in a facelift of the Nexon, which could feature an all-new refreshed front fascia, redesigned rear profile, and new alloy wheels.

On the inside, the Nexon facelift could feature a new dashboard layout with minimalistic styling and a larger number of digital screens to stay fresh, relevant, and competitive in the segment. There could also be a huge improvement in the overall fit and finish and quality levels, too.
Under the hood, the 2026 Nexon facelift could continue to be offered with a choice of two engines: a 1.2-litre turbo petrol (also available with CNG) and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Both engines are offered with manual and automatic gearbox options. In addition to these, it could also get the 1.2-litre T-GDI turbo-petrol engine from the Curvv as well. The official revealing of the Nexon Facelift could take place by September, with the launch happening soon after.
Expected Price: Rs 8 lakh to 12 lakh (ex-showroom)
Expected Launch: June
While the next-generation Tiago EV is still some time away, the carmaker is expected to update the existing Tiago EV with some new features, a revised colour palette and a larger battery pack for more range. No major changes are expected on the design front with the chic and classy styling being retained, although some revisions like new bumpers and reworked headlamp and taillamp cluster could also be a part of this update.

Inside, the 2026 Tiago EV is expected to feature an updated infotainment system and a new digital instrument cluster. Under the hood, however, is where most changes are to take place, with a larger battery pack and enhanced DC fast charging capabilities likely to be offered.
Expected Price: Rs. 45 lakh to 50 lakh (ex-showroom)
Expected Launch: December 2026/January 2027
The Tata Avinya X is a fully electric car concept that was first displayed by the company at the Bharat Mobility Expo in 2025. Tata has so far revealed that this grounds-up EV will be based on the Gen 3 architecture. The Avinya X EV will be a premium electric SUV and will mark Tata’s entry into the luxury EV segment. As for the design of the concept, it sports a coupe-like silhouette, and as Tata says, it has an all-new identity, which is further accompanied by LED DRLs, most of which are expected to make it to the production spec model.

On the inside, the Avinya X Concept has a very minimalistic layout for the dashboard, finished in white, and the concept also gets butterfly doors, which may not make its way to the production version. Since this will be a born-EV, Tata is expected to make use of lightweight materials to keep weight in check. Tata has so far also revealed that the production spec version of the Avinya X EV will support ultra-fast charging, which will be in line with the infrastructure evolution and will help to pump a minimum of 500 kms range in under 30 minutes.
More details on the battery, motors, and range are yet to be released, but we expect the maximum driving range to be upwards of 550 kms. The Avinya X is currently in the testing stage, with a market launch expected by the end of this year.
However, the launch could also be slightly delayed to early next year to coincide with the Bharat Mobility Expo 2027.
Things look good for Tata Motors in 2026. We are just in the third month of the year, and Tata has already launched two new products; the Nexon also became India’s best-selling car last month, increasing Tata’s market share by a good margin, and its future plans seem strong and promising. Based on the information available so far, all the models do look promising, and with the right price and market positioning, they have the potential to resonate with their target audience, generate healthy sales, and improve their presence in the market.
