After the long-awaited 2025 Tata Sierra was revealed in pictures, Tata has finally given us a teaser, which officially confirms the 25th November launch date! Let’s take a closer look at what this teaser tells us about the iconic SUV:
As we had confirmed earlier, the teaser verifies that the 2025 Sierra will be launched on 25 November. It also shows us that the production version will get a different alloy design that the concept revealed till now. However, the rest of the design seems to remain true to the concept and follows a retro design philosophy.

The 2025 Tata Sierra carries a boxy and minimalist design to follow the retro look. It gets certain retro touches like the black insert above the rear windows, to mimic the ‘curved’ rear windows of the original Sierra, a flat bonnet and a unique window line as well.

While we do not know how the interior of the production version will look like, the concept shown at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 showcased an all-black theme and tri-screen setup with body-coloured inserts on the passenger side of the dash. It also features the two-spoke gloss black steering wheel with the backlit Tata logo shared with siblings like the Harrier and Curvv.

In terms of features, it is expected to get a long list of equipment such as a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, powered and ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, wireless phone chargers, drive modes and a premium sound system. It could also receive safety features such as 7 airbags, a Level 2 ADAS suite, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, a 360-degree camera and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold.
Powertrain-wise, it will get an option of 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines with manual and automatic transmission options, while an EV version is also on the way. You can also check out the detailed specifications of these powertrains here.

When launched later this month, the Sierra is expected to carry a price tag of Rs 15-25 lakh (ex-showroom) and will compete with other SUVs such as the upcoming Renault Duster that has just been announced, the upcoming 2026 Kia Seltos, the upcoming Nissan Tekton, Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Maruti Victoris and Grand Vitara and its sibling, the Tata Curvv.
Tata has kept the Indian enthusiast community on its toes for a long time with the comeback of the Sierra brand. After winning the prestigious Red Dot Design Award, we are even more thrilled to get our hands on more details and a closer look at the new Sierra soon. Stay tuned to ZigWheels for more information as and when it comes out.
