CONFIRMED: 2025 Tata Sierra Launching On November 25! Here Is A Breakdown Of How It Will Be Like….

After years of anxiously waiting, Sierra fans will be overjoyed to know that the new Sierra will be launching on November 25. While the Petrol and Diesel versions of the SUV will be launched first, a fully-electric Sierra EV is also on the way. Here is all we know about the IC-powered versions of the Compact SUV:

Exterior: Retro Meets Modern

From the near-production concept shown by Tata Motors, we can say that the Sierra will follow a retro-cool theme across the exterior design, with certain elements made to pay tribute to the design of the original Sierra. At the front, you have a black grille merging into the smoked headlamps and a connected LED strip. You also get a faux silver skid plate and gloss black cladding on the lower bumper to complete a suave and understated front-end design.

Towards the side, you will notice slightly boxy proportions to give the Sierra a tough look. It also gets a black insert above the rear windows to mimic the iconic curved window design of the original Sierra. It also gets flush door handles, thick gloss black cladding and sleek roof rails, all of which work together to make it look classy.

The rear-end design of the Sierra also carries a minimalistic theme. You have a completely flat hatch with a large roof spoiler to complete the sporty feel. Besides this, it gets a width-long LED strip which houses the taillamp cluster.

Interior: Futuristic But Familiar

While Tata hasn’t revealed the interior design of the Sierra yet, the near-production concept shown at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo featured a three-screen setup with a digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment system and even a passenger entertainment display. 

Besides this, it will feature a gloss black steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo and will also get a body-coloured insert on the dashboard for a dash of style. The new Sierra will most likely be a 5-seater only and will feature an all-black interior theme.

Features: A Question Mark?

While Tata is yet to confirm the equipment list of the new Sierra, it is likely to be equipped with features such as a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, powered and ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, wireless phone chargers, drive modes and a premium sound system. 

In terms of safety, it could feature 7 airbags, a Level 2 ADAS suite, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, a 360-degree camera and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold.

Powertrain: Punchy Petrol!

Under the hood, the Sierra will come with brand-new 1.5-litre T-GDI turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. While detailed specifications are not out yet, here is what we expect the figures to look like:

Rivals: The Usuals

When launched next month, the Sierra will be positioned between the Nexon and Harrier in Tata’s portfolio. This means that it would compete with cars like the upcoming Renault Duster that has just been announced, the upcoming 2026 Kia Seltos, the upcoming Nissan Tekton, Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Maruti Victoris and Grand Vitara and even its sibling, the Tata Curvv.

Well, to be honest, that’s quite a many competitors to face the heat from!

Launch Date And Price: Coming Sooner Than Expected

Tata Motors will launch the Sierra on November 25. It is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 15 to Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom). Notably, Tata is also gearing up to launch the Sierra EV soon after the petrol and diesel versions.
