Tata Launches Legend Series And Dark Edition For Sierra: Gets More Luxury And Stealth!

Tata has launched two new editions of the Sierra, including the Legend Series and the Dark Edition. The Sierra was Tata’s biggest launch late last year, which included its neo-retro design and feature-packed interiors. Now, however, the Sierra gets an update in the form of the new editions, which give it a fresh touch to the design and features. Let’s explore the updates.

2026 Tata Sierra Legend Series

The Sierra Legend Series reshuffles the features in the variants, essentially upgrading the trims and the prices. Speaking of which, let’s explore the pricing of the Legend Series’ variants:

The Smart Plus L is based on the standard Smart Plus but with more features. Hence, it sees a Rs 50,000 increase over the standard variant. However, the rest of the Legend Series variants are priced differently depending on the variants and powertrains, respectively.

The Legend Series includes a jump in the feature list respective to the variants, which include leatherette upholstery, automatic headlamps, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, and 6-way powered and ventilated seats.

2026 Tata Sierra Dark Edition

The Tata Sierra now also joins the Dark Edition club, which the Nexon, Curvy, Safari and Harrier have been available with. Expectedly, the Dark Edition gives the Sierra’s interior and exterior an added black treatment. Prices of the Dark Edition variants are as follows:

The black treatment costs Rs 20,000 over the standard variants of the Sierra. These Dark Editions are also based on the Legend Series, which includes the added features discussed above. 

The Dark Edition is available only with the Freisian Black colour and includes satin black finishes on the front and rear bumper skid plate. The all-black treatment to the Sierra now makes it look more serious and stealthier than before. 

Step inside, and the black theme continues but is also accompanied by purple accents. Elements like the door latches, accent trims on the dashboard, seat stitching and the door window switch console include the tastefully finished purple colour. 

Apart from that, there are further blacked-out elements in the interior, like the engine start-stop button surround and other accents, which are usually finished in silver in the standard Sierra.

2026 Tata Sierra: Powertrain

The Sierra is available in a total of 3 engine options. A 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Detailed powertrain specifications are as follows: 

MT- Manual Transmission, AT- Automatic Transmission (torque converter), DCT- Dual Clutch Transmission (automatic)

The Sierra sits among one of the hottest segments in the country’s automotive market. It goes against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Renault Duster, Nissan Tekton, Citroen Besalt X and Aircross X, Tata Curvv, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, and the Honda Elevate.

The Sierra is among Tata’s best-looking cars in the SUV category. It is spacious inside thanks to the large boxy shape and a feature-rich interior, which is quintessentially Tata. The new Legend Series variants interestingly provide some extra fancy features which are otherwise reserved for the higher variants. This makes the lower variants now more appealing. And with the Dark Edition giving a stealthier vibe to the Sierra, we now have a variant for people with most tastes looking for a Sierra.
