The e Vitara produces slightly more power, while the Creta Electric has a slightly greater torque output.
While the exact claimed range of the e Vitara has not been revealed yet, Maruti claims that it is over the 500 km mark!
The Creta Electric is priced from Rs 17.99 lakh to Rs 24.37 lakh (ex-showroom). Prices for the e Vitara have not been revealed, but we expect it to be priced from Rs 17 lakh and go up to Rs 23 lakh. In the same segment, other alternatives include the MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV, and Mahindra BE 6.
With new body styles including coupes and crossovers coming into the electric space, SUVs like the Creta Electric and e Vitara offer you the conventional SUV look. The e Vitara has a more rugged appearance, while the Creta Electric has a design which looks modern and sophisticated. Both SUVs offer plenty of tech and comforts, and you won’t really find much to complain about. The e Vitara is expected to offer a slightly superior range, but the difference is not a lot.
Marutis are known to dominate the segment, but it will be tough going up against something that originates from a tried and tested recipe (Creta ICE) even though it comes with a completely different powertrain. However, both these SUVs are compelling options and come with their unique personalities even though the specifications are completely at par with each other. There is no right or wrong irrespective of the SUV you pick. It all comes down to your individual preferences and which SUV meets your needs better. But, yes, you should consider waiting for the launch of the e Vitara.
