Alongside the KM 5000, Kabira has also revealed details about the KM 3000 Pro and the 4000 Pro, its upcoming electric bikes. The KM 4000 Pro will be the updated version of the standard KM 4000, while the 3000 Pro will be a superior version of the KM 3000, a supersport. We rode both bikes a couple of years ago. Check out our review here.
As can be seen from the teaser, they both have quite a sporty silhouette. The KM 4000 Pro’s round LED headlight looks quite similar to the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR’s unit. Interesting!
Kabira revealed that the range and top speed for the KM 3000 Pro will be 176km and 140kmph, respectively. The same for the 4000 Pro, meanwhile, is a mighty 203km and 160kmph! Admittedly, these figures sound great on paper but we’ll reserve our final judgement until we ride the bikes. The brand also said that they’ll both come with a mid-mounted motor. For perspective, the standard KM 3000’s claimed top speed and range are 100kmph and 120km, respectively.
Since these are pro variants of the respective standard models, expect the changes to be centered mostly around the powertrain, battery and perhaps new features. Their underpinnings are likely to remain the same: telescopic fork, monoshock and disc brakes.
Both bikes are all set to be revealed in the first quarter of 2024, mostly around March. It’s quite early to comment on its price but Kabira’s likely to price them around Rs 30,000 above their standard models. For perspective, the KM 3000 currently retails for Rs 1,54,500, while the KM 4000 costs Rs 1,65,525 (both ex-showroom Goa). But with the new subsidy slabs, the final price could be higher. Once here, the bikes will go up against the Tork Kratos.
