Q. I am looking to upgrade to from a duke 200 to a bike with more bhp and Cubic capacity that can handle triple digit speeds. I am 5'3 and D200 seat height was not a problem with boots. I have shortlisted G310R and GT650 based on seat height, linear power delivery, brand value and quality. Kindly advice with the options.
  • The KTM 200 Duke was a game changer for the performance motorcycle segment in India. When it comes to thrills, the KTM 200 Duke delivers it in spades. Moreover, selecting between the BMW G 310 R and Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 would depend on certain factors such as budget, preference of the segment, features required, touring capabilities and also, availability of service network. The Continental GT 650 is powered by a 648cc, air and oil-cooled, parallel-twin engine that generates peak power of 47.6PS at 7100rpm and 52Nm of torque at 5200rpm mated to a 6-speed transmission assisted by a slip-and-assist clutch. It makes for a great step up for existing riders while offering new levels of refinement and performance. On the other hand, G310R sports a 313cc single-cylinder liquid cooled unit that produces 34PS at 9500rpm and 28Nm of torque at 7500rpm. The G 310 R is a bike that’s absolutely a hoot to ride thanks to its great handling dynamics, decently punchy motor and incredible ride quality. However, there are some drawbacks too such as vibrations and a cramped lower body posture which prevents you to spend longer hours on the saddle. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride for a better understanding of comfort and compatibility. You may click on the link and select your desired city for dealership details. Q. I wanted to purchase between Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650 but confused.
  • What do u prefer more funtionality (interceptor ) or good looks (gt 650). Are u willing to sacrifice comfort for some good cornering them go for gt if ur lookimg for short rider then gt if looking for touring long rides then interceptor if want good 2 seater then interceptor if for solo mostly then gt occaional pillion rider then gt. If ur porpose is impress women then difinetly gt coz that ride posture is more aggressive makes u look strong its like ur on this heavy looking bike ur shoulders really arms look agressive thats the actual reason of that sitting posture people like gt more specially chrome model bcoz it looks so good on road u stand out of crowd and yes functionally interceptor is a better package its all about using the bike that bike is more versatile both bike are designed for people with diferent personalities and yes u should test ride then to feel then in real world only then u will know what i mean
  • Bro for a sporty feeling u shuld choose GT650 otherwise if u are a tourer u shuld go for Interceptor 650 choice is yours in how the way u ride for.. But for a short tour and a sporty feel u shld go for Gt650
  • Continental GT 650 is a cafe racer type, whereas interceptor is touring bike.now you have to decide what is your purpose.Frequent touring then go for interceptor else if your purpose is city ride and occasional touring then continental GT 650

    Feels stressed

The engine (soul of the bike) is rough and feels stressed at times and ventilation is not at par, The bike gets heated a lot in slow moving traffic, The exhaust note is also not soothing, The gear shifts are very hard and this is a deal-breaker. Vibrations are present on the bike, Service network is limited in India. You do not feel confident at high speeds. The bike looks good, grabs attention, Suspensions are good, Seat-height is good for short riders also it is comfortable to sit. Led headlight is quite bright and gives good visibility at night. Breaks are decent. Overall avoid buying this bike, It just looks good and there are lot of problems in this bike.

    Thrilling Performance with Classic Elegance

" The Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 combines amazing dynamics with classical styling to bring to the motorcyclist the best of the two worlds. Customers fall in love with the parallel-twin performance engine that powers a dynamic ride in both the thick city traffic and along all open roads. The cafe racer style, paired with the addition of dual-channel ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) contributes to a biker being hit by a simple yet beautiful bike. Nevertheless a minority of supporters note the shortcomings with the seat comfort for the trips that take too long and recommend a faster improvement in suspension tuning for a softer ride."
