The upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door has been snapped with a feature that most of you love these days: a panoramic sunroof. A test mule has been spotted testing and from that, we can discern that the off-roader has a dual-pane sunroof. Apart from that, the Mahindra Thar 5-door will get a host of feature additions over the three-door model that ups its premium appeal. 

Mahindra Thar 5-door Spotted With Sunroof 

The upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door has earlier been spotted sporting a single-pane sunroof, but this is the first time it has been seen with a panoramic sunroof. 

Also, considering that test mules have now been snapped with both single-pane and panoramic sunroofs, we hope Mahindra offers both the options in the upcoming Thar 5-door. 

Mahindra Thar 5-door: New Features 

From previous spy shots, we can confirm that the 2024 Mahindra Thar 5-door will be loaded with new features such as a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, LED headlights and dual-tone alloys. Apart from that, it is also expected to get six airbags, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control and a wireless phone charger.

Mahindra Thar 5-door: Expected Engine Options 

The elongated Thar is expected to get the existing 3-door’s 150PS 2-litre turbo-petrol and a 130PS 2.2-litre diesel engine, but likely with more power. One can expect both rear-wheel and four-wheel drive options as well as 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions. 

Mahindra Thar 5-door: Expected Price And Launch 

One can expect the new Mahindra Thar 5-door’s prices, expected to be announced on August 15, to start around the Rs 15 lakh mark (ex-showroom). It will lock horns with the Force Gurkha 5-door, while being a larger alternative to the Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
