Royal Enfield has finally launched the highly anticipated entry-level scramblers, the Bullet Trials 350 and the Bullet Trials 500, in India at Rs 1.62 lakh and Rs 2.07 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), respectively. Now we are not going to bore you with all the technical details -- that you can learn about by clicking here. What we are going to do is take a moment and appreciate what RE has done when it comes to designing these fantastic-looking scramblers.
Both the motorcycles are based on RE’s Classic range and follow the same design language as well.
To make sure that your off-road shenanigans don’t harm the headlight, the headlamp unit on the Bullet Trials duo is fitted with a protective wire-mesh grille. But you need to shell out a tad more as it’s offered as an accessory.
The instrument cluster remains the same as the standard Classic range.
Both the bikes get telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear.
The new motorcycles also get a 3D “Royal Enfield” logo on the fuel tank, as seen on the Interceptor 650.
To match its rugged looks, Royal Enfield gave the Bullet Trials 350 as well as the Bullet Trials 500 an exposed look. The only contrasting colours you can see are the bright red and pista green frame.
If you’re thinking of going on a road trip as a pillion, the Trials may not be your first choice. You see, RE has equipped this bike with a luggage rack instead of a pillion seat. Ouch!
Both the motorcycles get a raised rear fender.
The most striking detail about these motorcycles has to be the big, upswept exhaust!
The Trials 350 and Trials 500 feature 19-inch spoke wheels up front and 18-inch spoke wheels at the rear shod with dual-purpose tyres from Ceat.
Stopping power comes from a 280mm disc up front and a 240mm disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS offered as standard.
Accessories include a headlamp grill, handlebar brace cover and a side mounted number plate cover.
Finally, if you are thinking to buy one for yourself, here’s something that might cheer you up: Royal Enfield has already started bookings for the Bullet Trials 350 and the Bullet Trials 500.
