MG has hiked the price of the Hector Plus by up to Rs 46,000. The base-spec diesel variant will lighten your wallet the most while the Smart DCT as well as the Super and Smart diesel variants receive the least amount of hike.

The Hector Plus is essentially a more practical version of the standard model and comes with captain seats in the middle row and a bench seat in the third row. A 7-seater version with bench seats for middle row occupants will be introduced in the coming months.

It also looks slightly different than the standard Hector as the chrome and plastic elements have been removed in the Hector Plus. Even the interior utilises a premium tan brown upholstery. You can view how it differs from the standard Hector right here. And to know more about the Hector Plus’ features, head here.

The Hector Plus is powered by the familiar 142PS 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 170PS 2.0-litre diesel engine. While both engines come with a manual gearbox, the petrol engine benefits from a dual-clutch automatic transmission. The DCT variants come coupled with a mild-hybrid system for torque boost functionality.

The MG Hector Plus locks horns with the Toyota Innova Crysta, Mahindra XUV500 and the upcoming Tata Gravitas and 2021 Mahindra XUV500.
