The number of hyper nakeds in the market is very limited. MV Agusta has its mental Brutale 1000 Serie Oro and Ducati could unveil the Streetfighter soon. But it’s not like only the Italians are making some insane naked motorcycles. Because Kawasaki has shared a small video hinting that it will unveil a supercharged motorcycle sometime soon. And the ‘Z’ logo at the end of the video suggests that it could be the new Z1000.
As of now, Kawasaki has only three motorcycles that are powered by the insane 998cc supercharged motor and the upcoming Z1000 could be the fourth to join this list. The inline four-cylinder motor in the H2 range produces 210PS (with RAM air) in the H2 SX variant. Now, even considering that Kawasaki could use the same engine, the upcoming Z1000 could belt out 68 horses more than the current-gen model! The teaser video doesn’t reveal much but we expect the upcoming Z1000 to feature a similar frame and suspension setup as the Ninja’s, albeit tweak to match its character.
There’s no word about its official launch but we expect Kawasaki to bring the supercharged monster at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show. Also, if you think 1000cc is a bit too much, would you fancy a small 250cc Ninja that develops 60PS at, wait for it, 20,000rpm?
