Customers can book either of the bikes for a token amount of Rs 2 lakh

  • These flat-track-themed bikes are lighter and shorter than other Indian models.
  • Indian Motorcycle dealerships across India have already commenced bookings for the bikes.
  • The 1200 S Replica commands a Rs 50,000 premium over the standard variant.
  • Both flat-trackers are powered by the same 1133cc V-twin motor.
  • Indian Motorcycles will be launching the FTR 1200 S and 1200 S Race Replica in India on August 19. The brand announced prices for the bikes last December. The FTR 1200 S, for instance, costs Rs 14.99 lakh while the 1200 S Race Replica will set you back by Rs 15.49 lakh. These bikes are production-spec versions of the company's more hardcore FTR750 flat-tracker. Once launched,  the FTR 1200 S and 1200 S Race Replica will open up a new genre for motorcycle enthusiasts in the country.

    Both flat-trackers draw power from a bored-out version of the Indian Scout’s 1133cc, V-twin motor. Thanks to this, it dishes out 121.7PS of power and 115.2Nm of torque - that’s 20PS and 18Nm more when compared to the standard Scout. Harnessing this power is a host of electronic rider aids which comprises of three rider modes (Sport, Standard and Rain), ride-by-wire throttle, traction control, wheelie control and cornering ABS (first for a production-spec Indian), all monitored by a six-axis IMU.

    A Fully adjustable 43mm separate cartridge USD front fork and a fully adjustable piggyback monoshock handle suspension duties. The braking setup consists of twin 320mm disc paired with four-piston Brembo calipers at the front and a single 260mm disc brake at the rear.
