Royal Enfield has expanded its gear portfolio with new winter collection. The brand has launched four new jackets, a pair of short riding gloves, denim pants and a helmet. Here’s a quick look at the new gear and their prices.
Khardungla and Pushkar jackets are designed for riding, with an emphasis on function over form. They come with abrasion-resistant polyester, CE Level 1 protectors on shoulders and elbows, and a foam insert for back protection. On the other hand, the Spirit and Apex D2 feature dapper styling, along with adequate reinforcement on select areas. The Cordura Denims are made using a combination of cotton, nylon and polyester fabrics, and come with numerous pockets for utility as well. It is also compatible with knee armour as it has internal pockets to accommodate them, which will have to be bought separately.
The Urban Trooper helmet looks quite basic. It doesn’t come with a visor but gets a ratchet-type retention system and a goggle strap at the back. The helmet complies with IS: 4151 certified and weighs around 1.1kg. To keep your hands protected, the new V2 short riding gloves get genuine leather construction with carbon fibre knuckle protector.
The new gear is available on the brand’s online store and is usually shipped within 24 hours. Riding gear from most of the other brands rely on third-party distributors, and this is where Royal Enfield has an advantage - customers can simply walk into Royal Enfield’s authorised dealerships and purchase them from there. Alternatively, it can also be purchased online at Myntra, Flipkart and Amazon.
