Mahindra has revealed quite a bit in the build-up to the launch of the XUV700. The carmaker has now teased the three-row SUV’s interior, which gets a dual-tone colour scheme.
We get glimpses of a few features in action, such as the twin-screen setup for the infotainment and driver display, connected car tech, voice commands by Amazon’s Alexa, and a Sony 3D sound system with sound modes and roof-mounted speakers. There will be three drive modes -- Zip, Zap, and Zoom. Additionally, other teasers earlier divulged segment-first flush-fitted door handles and what Mahindra claims to be the largest panoramic sunroof in its segment.
Securing passenger safety are LED headlights with high-beam assist, voice alerts that can be personalised to the voice of your choosing (including that of your loved ones), and driver drowsiness detection. The air filter technology is claimed to keep out 99% bacteria and 95% viruses.
The XUV 700 will be powered by the Thar’s turbo-petrol and diesel engines (but retuned for more power) with a segment-first optional all-wheel drive. The three-row SUV, which could be revealed in August, will take on the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, and MG Hector Plus. Chances are it will be priced from Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.
