After showing us the new headlamp design and reworked taillamps, we can now see that the XUV 7XO will get a new dark red colour option as well. The latest teaser also gives a better look at the LED Projector headlamps along with the new alloy wheel design that the XUV 7XO will offer. Mahindra could also offer dual-tone paint options going by the blacked-out ORVM’s in this latest teaser.

In terms of features, it is likely to get a major upgrade and could include the tri-screen layout consisting of 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment and a secondary passenger display from its siblings like the XEV 9S and XEV 9e, a panoramic sunroof, sliding second row seats, ventilated front and rear seats, multi-colour ambient lighting and wireless charger.

In terms of safety, it is expected to get an upgraded Level 2 ADAS suite, 7 airbags, electronic stability control, electronic parking brake with auto-hold and hill hold assist.
Under the hood, the Mahindra XUV 7XO is expected to carry over the same powertrain options as the XUV700, which includes 2-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines, both of which come mated to a choice of 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options. Here are the detailed specifications of these powertrains:

While we await the pricelist of the XUV 7XO, Mahindra is expected to price it in the range of Rs 15 lakh to Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom). When launched, it will compete with other midsize SUVs such as the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, Jeep Meridian and the Hyundai Alcazar.
Mahindra's XUV700 has had a great run so far, and after 4 years of launch, it is all set to undergo a thorough refresh building upon the known refinement, value-for-money proposition and powerful engines that the XUV brand has always stood for. All eyes are now on the January 5 unveil date, which is when we will know in detail what all changes Mahindra has made.
